Then -
After Central;
After graduating I attended Xavier University. Believe it or not, I ran for student government,
became a cheerleader, and quickly figured out that Mrs. Dix's didn't exist at this institution!
By sophomore year however, I found a really cute guy from New Jersey...three glorious children
later and twenty years of marriage, we divorced.
Now I'm;
Happily getting on with my life in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Muhlenberg College
in 2001. Currently I am a Slide Curator/Administrative Assistant in the art department at Muhlenberg
College. Working here has been wonderful. Artists and art historians, bright students, beautiful
park-like campus ½ mile away from my house. Who could ask for anything more? Okay, money
would be great but that's why I'm going to win the lottery! In the meantime, I'm richly surrounded
by my grown-up children, (25, 23, 17), handsome son-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters.
Memorable CHS Moments;
Oh for pete's sake. Every single day was a hoot! All my Hogatha's, (Karen, Kristy, Amy, Ray).
Stacey's level-headedness. Teaching Kristy how to drive stick-shift via Dave Farmer's car.
Ray driving us around for the 28 straight snow days. Little Millers by the trunkfuls. Cloudy
cocktails by the lungfuls. Jerome Henderson and Coach Graves shaking their heads at me,
"Beak, Beak, Beak." Long Run Park. Dancing to "Brick House," with Greg Page at the prom.
Having my picture taken with Zack Royal for Best Athlete. Whining about our prom theme, "All
we are is Dust in the Wind." Trying to be in every single yearbook picture. Oh, and my one teacher
who I truly respected and studied for: Mrs. Nelson's Anatomy and Physiology class. Where else
but Louisville Central High School, 1976-78, could we have met such an array of personalities
and experiences?
